Why Vinyl Tile Flooring?

You’re missing out if you haven’t seen the latest advancements in vinyl tile flooring.

Modern vinyl tiles are much different than they were decades ago.

Today’s vinyl tile has the look and feel of real ceramic or stone tile, for a more economical price.

Due to these reasons, the popularity of vinyl continuously grows.

The tile is waterproof, which means it go anywhere in the house. Vinyl tile is manufactured to exact dimensions (12- or 18-inch squares) and thickness to give the finished floor a uniform appearance. The flooring is available in a variety of colors, realistic textures and patterns. Self-adhesive tile is the easiest to install. Precision-cut tile also makes replacing damaged tile easy, and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) offers a more realistic look and feel with all the benefits of vinyl.

Groutable Vinyl Tile

Some varieties go end to end, while others have grouting lines like real ceramic or stone tile. Consider groutable vinyl tile for even more realism. Tile makers offer a broad range of color options for the grout to give you the flooring you’re looking for. Depending on the source, the grout is ready to use and requires no sealing. It’s also resistant to stains, moisture and cracking.

Vinyl Composition Tile

Vinyl composition tile (VCT) or commercial VCT is durable and maintains its look despite being in high-traffic areas. Due to this, the tile is typically used in commercial settings. VCT is available in many styles and patterns.

Why Vinyl Plank Flooring?

Vinyl plank is for you if you’re looking for an economical and durable alternative to hardwood floors. This flooring method has improved over the years to realistically mimic different varieties of colors and types of wood. Manufacturers have also taken steps to improve on how the planks feel, with added detail to its texture. Vinyl plank is commonly manufactured 4 or 6 inches wide by 3 or 4 feet long. Like vinyl tile, the vinyl plank product is waterproof. Gaps need to be sealed in order to prevent moisture from seeping through your floor. Vinyl plank will work in any room if done correctly.

Why Sheet Vinyl Flooring?

Like vinyl tile and vinyl plank, sheet vinyl has also improved greatly over the years. Makers have created a flooring method that offers an accurate representation of its alternatives made from real wood or tile. Sheet vinyl comes in 6- or 12-foot widths cut to measurements or in prepared rolls.

The flooring style will dictate the laying method and adhesive typing.

Because it is seamless, sheet vinyl is ideal for high-moisture environments like bathrooms.

A Versatile Option

When it is properly prepared, vinyl floors can go over many underlayments. Such underlayments include concrete, old ceramic tile, wood or non cushioned vinyl flooring. Additionally, water resistance and stability of vinyl makes it a great choice for nearly any room. The design options available allow the flooring to match up well with any theme or existing feel of a room. The many options for colors and designs also add to the diversity of vinyl floors. Vinyl floors are clearly a great option for any home or business. If you are looking for a durable and highly customizable floor, call Bolding for a vinyl quote today.

Types of Flooring

There are three types of commercial vinyl flooring that fit different situations:

  • Vinyl Sheet Flooring:

Vinyl sheets have a width of about 6-16 feet and has a protective outerwear layer above a digital graphic film layer. This floor is for unique designs which require larger sheets without visible seams. Comes in large rolls, reducing the number of seams. Works well in healthcare facilities and places where fall prevention is a large concern. More expensive than Vinal Composition Tile, but is worth the extra cost if durability is a large concern.

  • Vinyl Composition Tile:

a combination of natural limestone and other materials fused together into solid sheets, then cut into tiles. It usually requires layers of polishing fairly regularly to protect its surface, but the material itself is durable.  It comes in multiple styles and textures to fit any area space. This vinyl flooring has inexpensive upfront material costs and is perfect for cutting costs while maintaining the quality on large projects.

  • Luxury Vinyl Tile:

Like Vinyl Composition tile, Luxury Vinal Tile is a combination of natural limestone mixed with composites. The material has digital graphic film that is possible in nearly any like sealed beneath an outer wear layer. While the upfront material cost is the most expensive of the three, its lifetime costs tend to be lower than the rest because of its superior durability and minimal maintenance requirements. It also allows the greatest array of design options. The digital film takes all shapes, and is indistinguishable from other natural materials due to advances in technology. The material is durable enough to withstand the most heavy-duty settings, and often replaces ceramic, marble, and wood in some places.
